The 23rd edition of the Maroc Challenge is taking shape, and one of its most noteworthy features is that it will both start and finish in Saïdia. This year’s event will showcase a revamped route, exploring new areas that promise to be a true challenge for participants. The Spring 2025 will take place from 11th to 19th April 2025 and is set to be, yet again, a great adventure.

Regarding the route, the first stage will begin with a few kilometres running alongside the beach, before descending from Saïdia through the Rekkam region and then climbing to Midelt, in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. This stage will feature relatively fast tracks, though caution will be required, as water can alter the terrain’s topography—whether in river crossings, erosion cuts, or unexpected rocks that may appear along the way.

This year, we are bringing back the crossing of the Atlas Mountains, one of the hallmarks of the event. This section always offers breathtaking landscapes and the added challenge of unpredictable weather conditions. From Midelt, the route will head towards Erfoud, where two loop stages will be held. These loops will allow participants to tackle the terrain with unloaded vehicles, providing greater safety and ease. Sand will dominate this portion of the journey, with routes traversing remote areas of the Moroccan desert. We are confident you’ll enjoy these sections, as they promise to be especially fun to drive.

In the fifth stage, we will head west towards Bouarfa, covering terrain that is highly varied but still featuring stretches of sand. The camp for this penultimate stage will be set up at the abandoned train station on the outskirts of the town. Finally, the route will return northwards to Saïdia in the final stage, crossing the Chott Tigris in a long and challenging leg.

Lastly, we would like to share that more details about the itinerary will be revealed in due course. However, we can already confirm that, true to the philosophy of the Maroc Challenge, the routes will be designed and adapted to ensure they are manageable for all categories.
