The Maroc Challenge will return to Morocco in December 2022 to celebrate an edition highly anticipated by all following the long interruption due to the pandemic. With barely six months to go, we have already traced the outlines of an exciting event that will be held from December 2 to 9.
The Winter 2022’s first stage will begin in Midelt on December 4, in the heart of the Atlas Mountains, ending on the 9th, in Saïdia, on the Mediterranean shore.
We are working hard to ensure this reunion edition is an unforgettable success. It will be a unique edition, which will combine traditional Maroc routes with new tracks that will allow us to fully enjoy the adventure, driving and spirit that has characterized this event in its previous 18 editions.
Boarding will be in Almería on the night of December 2, and technical checks will take place before boarding the ship. After the night crossing and disembarking in the port of Nador, we have planned a link that will take us to Midelt. This will be a relatively relaxed day to wrap up preparations and get to the starting point with everything ready.
We will start out with a linear route from Midelt to Erfoud, then on to Zagora where we will stay two nights before returning to Erfoud on the 7th. Though long-awaited, this will not be an easy edition, since the dunes of Erg Chebbi, Ouzina and Chegaga await us, with routes adapted to each category, of course. Before reaching Saïdia, there will be a penultimate stage in Tendrara, where the already traditional camp will be set up allowing all participants to mingle and meet up yet again.
