The Beni Ensar City Council hosted a delegation from the Maroc Challenge in a ceremony recognizing the passage of this iconic event through its port and the province of Nador.

Mohamed Assagir, Second Vice President of the Beni Ensar Commune, accompanied by fellow Vice President Abdelhamid Alud, remarked: “You are warmly welcomed to our city and to Morocco, which is your home.” Rui Cabaço, briefingman for the Maroc Challenge, expressed his gratitude for the kind words and warm reception, emphasising: “We are deeply thankful for this gesture, which once again demonstrates that Morocco is a hospitable and welcoming country, always ready to embrace its visitors with open arms.”

The port of Beni Ensar and the city of Nador have enjoyed a close relationship with the Maroc Challenge since its inaugural edition in 2011. “The collaboration has grown significantly over the years, and we are very pleased with the hospitality we receive,” added Rui Cabaço. During the ceremony, local authorities presented commemorative distinctions to both Rui Cabaço and Juan Miguel Mora, logistics manager for the event.
